Al-Anon at Fellowship of the Spirit

Al-Anon has been an integral part of Fellowship of the Spirit from the beginning. A sizable number of Al-Anon members attend the conference each year, some accompanying the recovering alcoholics in their lives, and many attending by themselves or with other Al-Anons. Al-Anons participate actively in the step workshops that are the core of the main conference program; they are included in the panels, and are encouraged to contribute their experience strength and hope from the floor as well.

One of the conference's five main speakers is always an Al-Anon member, and will speak on Friday evening.

There is one planned Al-Anon meeting each day with opportunities for spontaneous Al-Anon meetings and gatherings throughout the conference. All of the Al-Anon meetings are open and everyone is invited to attend. We also encourage AA members to participate in these meetings to become familiar with Al-Anon and our primary purpose "to help friends and families of alcoholics".

Friday:       Inventory--The Four Columns of Al-Anon
Saturday:   Pass It On--Sponsorship In Al-Anon
Sunday:     Step 3--Are You There God, It's Me....

Al-Anon members from across the nation and around the world are invited to join us in the Colorado mountains to share in The Fellowship of the Spirit.

In respecting guidelines laid forth by Al-anon's World Service Organization, we have chosen not to use the term Alateen during 2010 FOTS conference. All young persons affected by someone else's drinking are encouraged to participate in FOTS including attendance at Al-Anon meetings and events.
