A Message from Your FOTS Board

Dear Conference Attendees,

Since 2004, The Fellowship of the Spirit Conference has sold out at a capacity of 575 attendees. (This capacity is determined by the fire marshal and represents the legal capacity of the conference center at Solvista.) Since that time, the FOTS board of directors has struggled with the idea of expansion, relocation, and overall direction of the conference. We have asked questions about the ideal size of the conference, the changes that might occur if we relocate, and the change in character of the conference if we continue to grow. During the summer and early fall of 2006, several members of the board began to investigate options for relocation that would allow more attendees to participate in the conference. In October of 2006, we held a special board meeting to discuss the option of moving the conference to Copper Mountain Resorts. After an extensive presentation by a board member on the Copper Mountain facilities, the board voted unanimously to move the conference to this new location, starting in July of 2008. This is an exciting move for the conference, and represents another leap of faith in trusting God to guide the future of the conference.

With this upcoming change in mind, we want to express our sincere gratitude to Solvista for the many years of service in hosting our conference! We have been meeting at Solvista since 1998.

Many people have asked about the change, and what they could do to help facilitate the move. Volunteer opportunities are available through the 2008 conference committee.
